When you want to visit Dubai, there’s obviously plenty of things to do but what about if you’re on a tight budget and you want to look for some free or cheap things to do in Dubai?
You can do plenty of things in Dubai which don’t cost a lot to do and if you’re saving cash on things to do, why not take a chance at some of the great golf course in Dubai while you’re at it?
Some of these great things are:
- Jebel Hafeet
- Wafi Mall’s Rooftop Gardens Movies
- Many Beaches
- Outdoor Gyms and Exercise
- Watching some Horse Racing
This amazing and iconic mountain is located quite far out, really, but definitely worth it. Jabel Hafeet is a wonderful and amazing opportunity to see Oman, Al Ain and the country like you’ve never seen it before and it is 100% completely free. Once you get to Jebel Hafeet, you can choose to either run, cycle or drive up the 11km road.
At the top, if you’re up for spending a bit while you’re there, is there’s an amazing café and the Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet hotel.
Rooftop Gardens Movies at Wafi
One of our favourite free things to do, every week on Sunday at 8:30 Pm at Wafi Mall you’ll be able to visit the Rooftop Gardens and watch some amazing and incredible free movies. The Rooftop Garden will be set out with comfortable signature beanbag chairs as well as the opportunity to purchase hotdogs and soft drinks. You can relax and enjoy a movie for free if you’re not looking to spend anything for the hotdogs or soft drinks. Why not?
Go To The Beach
If you’re looking for something free to do with kids, look no further than some of Dubai’s amazing beaches. There’s the beach at Jumeirah Beach Residences, which is a lovely and free beach that is open to the public. This iconic beach gives you some of the best views of the Burj Al Arab, too, the world’s most luxurious and only 7-star hotel. You can enjoy the beach at JBR if you want to relax or, if you’re up to looking at some pretty cool beach sports and activities, Kite Beach is always a pretty good one to visit.
There’s always plenty of refreshments, too.
Parks and Outdoor Gym
Get fit for free and get some vitamin D and fresh air while you do it. Head on over to some of the many amazing parks in Dubai and see which ones have outdoor gym equipment or running tracks. Al Barsha Pond Park has some amazing pull-up bars, sit-up benches and rowing machines but what other parks are there out there with some great equipment?
Or you could just spend some time in the park, enjoying nature and relaxing. We don’t mind.
Believe it or not, but every Thursday night when the races are in you can enjoy watching the horse racing at the Meydan Grandstand, for free! You’ll only have limited access, but hey, it’s free!
